Typography Spring 2009

This course is an introduction to typography and focuses on the process of ordering words and images in space. The course is a laboratory for exploration and emphasizes the ways in which typographic structure creates and supports content. Projects will move from drawing single letter forms to designing typographic marks and systems employing manual, mechanical, and digital methods. Printing is at the center of all course work and students will work in a multi-media environment to complete projects of varying scale and complexity.
